Our kitchen follows the rhythm of the Cape. As the seasons shift, so do our menus, always guided by what’s fresh and available from our farmers. Spring brings tender greens and sashimi-style seafood, while summer delivers bright ceviche’s and fire-kissed steaks. In cooler months, comforting broths and slow-roasted meats take centre stage. No two visits are quite the same, but the ethos remains constant: local, seasonal, and unforgettably flavourful.

An Understanding of the Perfect Pairing
Born in Namibia and raised on the ethos of farm-to-fork living, our head chef’s early experiences were shaped by braais with family, fresh fruit straight from the trees, and an appreciation for food made with love. She’s walked every path of the hospitality world, from front of house to sommelier to private chef to co-owner, and trained formally at Cape Town’s Sense of Taste Chef School.

We don’t take shortcuts when it comes to preparation and we focus on simplicity to let the ingredients shine. Great quality produce needs to fully mature its flavours and ripen in its own season. We believe that patience makes the difference between average and excellent.

Whether it’s a romantic dinner, celebrating a special birthday or a business lunch, the Veld & Vine Bistro team will assist with all requests and accommodate accordingly.
- Veld & Vine Bistro can seat 48 indoor and 32 terrace guests
- Open to outside guests, 7 days a week for three meals daily
- Children of age 15 and above are welcome
- In-Room service and suite terrace dining available for hotel guests
- The Veld & Vine Bistro is fully licensed
- Corkage fees will apply to wines not on our list
